This extruder machine is specifically designed for fish feed and can produce floating, sinking and slow-sinking fish feed. Under the twin-screw extrusion process, it can produce feed with regular pellets that are resistant to water soaking.

Shrimp Feed Extruder Machine
To meet the feeding habits of shrimp, the shrimp feed must have an appropriate hardness and not disintegrate even after long-term soaking. Otherwise, it would cause feed waste and pollute the water quality. The twin screw shrimp feed extruder machine produced by RICHI has high-quality pellets and does not have the above problems.

Pet Food Extruder
It can be used to produce pet food such as cat food and dog food. The high-temperature expanded feed can improve palatability and has a higher digestion and absorption rate. During the expansion extrusion process, standard molds of φ0.6mm – φ20mm can meet the needs of different pellet specifications.

Single Screw Extruder Machine
The single screw extrusion equipment mainly has two processes: dry method and wet method. You can choose the one that suits your raw materials or product requirements.
Wet Type Extruder Machine
When using the wet process, a conditioner is needed to allow the material to fully mix with the steam in the mixer. This will enable the material to fully gelatinize. If it is used to produce freshwater fish feed, the floating property of the extruded pellets will also be better.

Dry Type Extruder Machine
This process does not require a conditioner. It mainly relies on the frictional heating during extrusion. It can be used to produce sinking shrimp feed, crab feed, etc., or to turn biomass raw materials such as straw and rice husks into pellets. Its process flow is shorter and is suitable for regular pellet feed production.

How should I choose between a twin-screw extruder and a single-screw extruder?

Let me briefly explain the differences between these two types of extruder machines in plain language.
The extruder with twin screws has two intermeshing screws in the extrusion chamber. The materials are repeatedly sheared and mixed by these screws, making it more capable of processing high-oil and high-fiber raw materials, and it is more suitable for making high-end aquatic feed or pet food.
The structure of the single-screw extruder is simpler and the price is more affordable. However, the extrusion principles are similar. It is suitable for making ordinary floating fish feed, sinking shrimp and crab feed.

The wet process requires a boiler system and has an additional conditioning step compared to the dry process. The dry process mainly relies on friction to generate heat and can be used with electricity. The investment cost is lower than that of the wet process. It is suitable for sinking shrimp and crab feed or some biomass pellets.
Is the dry process more energy-efficient than the wet process?

This is not absolute. The dry process mainly relies on the motor to generate heat through friction, and the electricity consumption is generally higher than that of the wet process. However, the wet process requires a boiler to burn steam, so there is also a fuel cost. You should not only look at the electricity meter but also consider the overall cost.
