Wood Pellet Machine Structure
RICHI wood pellet making equipments have special designs for several key components. These designs help the machines process various complex wood raw materials effectively.
Feeding Port
The feeding port has a frequency converter arch-breaking device. It prevents light, floating materials from blocking the port and ensures smooth feeding.
Forced Feeder
This is the second guarantee for smooth feeding. It forces materials into the pelletizing chamber.
Pressure Roller
The biomass-specific pressure roller has specially designed grooves. These grooves hold the raw material firmly.
Ring Die
Its surface has many round holes of the same diameter. When the material is pressed, it comes out through these holes.
Safety Pin
When the wood pellet maker is clogged or overloaded, the safety pin breaks automatically. It cuts off power transmission and forces the machine to stop.
Motor

We use 42CrMo alloy steel to make the ring die. We also carburize and harden its surface. Hardness can reach HRC58-62. Compared with ordinary stainless steel, it is more wear-resistant. It supports long-term production and extends service life.

Our wood pellet making machine supports free adjustment of the ring die compression ratio between 1:10 and 1:18. This adjusts the compactness of the finished pellets. You can also change ring dies with different hole diameters to control the diameter of the finished pellets.

How to Produce High-Quality Wood Pellets
Generally, producing high-quality wood pellets requires a complete wood pellet production line. It includes many steps and processes. Below are some common process flows.

Crushing
Whether your raw material is bark, branches, wooden pallets, agricultural residues, or something else, it must be crushed first. Different materials have different characteristics, so you need to choose suitable crushing equipment. The material should be processed to a diameter and size suitable for later pelletizing. This improves the forming effect and pellet quality during pelletizing.

Drying
Most raw materials collected by customers are affected by climate or storage conditions. This leads to high moisture content. High moisture affects the forming effect of wood pellets. So you need to use a dryer to reduce the actual moisture content of the raw materials to about 10%-15%. This creates good conditions for making high-quality wood pellets.

Pelletizing
This is the key step in producing high-quality wood pellets. Raw materials with moisture controlled in a reasonable range are pressed tightly in the wood pellet machine. They are cut into uniform pellets of consistent length. During pressing, lignin in the raw materials softens naturally. It acts as a binder and keeps the wood pellets from breaking apart.

Cooling
The material undergoes strong pressing and friction in the machine pellet wood. This gives the finished pellets a certain temperature. If they are not cooled, the pellets may clump or break during later packaging and transportation. Cooling quickly lowers their temperature and increases their hardness.

Screening
The purpose of this step is to ensure the appearance and quality of the finished pellets. Screening mainly removes fine powder and broken pellets. It keeps only intact wood pellets. This improves the consistency of the finished pellet size. If screening is done well, your wood pellets will be more popular when sold.
06.
Packaging
Quality wood pellets finally reach the packaging stage. You can choose different weights and specifications according to your sales, transportation, and storage needs. Uniform quantitative packaging helps with storage and transportation of the finished product. It also makes package weight easier to control. This improves the sales and delivery efficiency of wood pellets.
