Bagasse Pellet Mill

High-Efficiency Bagasse Pellet Mill
A bagasse pellet mill is a specialized biomass pellet mill. It processes bagasse into uniform pellets. These finished pellets can be used as fuel, ruminant feed, and organic fertilizer. Fuel is the most common and widespread use. The high efficiency and wear resistance of the bagasse pellet machine can bring considerable economic benefits to customers. At present, it has become one of the most popular pellet mills in the pellet market.

Bagasse Pellet Mill Unique Design
To better process long-fiber, fluffy raw materials like bagasse, a pelletizing machine must have some outstanding features. The RICHI bagasse pellet mill has several important components. They may not look prominent, but they play an important role in efficient pelletizing.

Feed Inlet
The feeding port has been widened. It is equipped with a double-roller arch-breaking device. This makes feeding smoother per unit time. Raw materials will not arch or bridge.

Forced Feeder
The forced feeder is powered by an electric motor. It “forces” raw materials into the pelletizing chamber. This prevents blockages and poor material feeding.

Ring Die
Made of 42CrMo alloy steel, it has high wear resistance. The diameter of the circular hole on the ring die can be customized, allowing the production of pellets of different diameters by changing the ring die.

Pressure Roller
Biomass-specific pressure rollers offer strong material gripping capabilities, heavy-duty performance, and dust protection , making them perfectly suited for high-silica, long-fiber materials like bagasse.

Cutter
The cutter allows you to change pellet length by adjusting the knife spacing. Its edge can prevent fiber from wrapping around it. The cut is clean. The pellet powdering rate is low.

Safety Pin
Its main function is to protect the bagasse pellet machine. If the machine is overloaded, the safety pin will shear off, triggering the protection mechanism.
Bagasse Pellet Mill Application
Bagasse pellet mills are suitable for a wide variety of scenarios. Below are some common application ranges. If you meet any one of the following, you can consider using a bagasse pellet machine to gain extra income.

Sugar Mills
Sugar mills produce a large amount of bagasse after sugar extraction. A sugarcane trash pellet machine can solve the problems of difficult bagasse storage and handling. It can also address the tendency of bagasse to self-ignite. Bagasse is suitable for making fuel pellets. These pellets can be co-fired in boilers or sold to power plants. This increases revenue from by-products.

Biomass Fuel Companies
These companies mostly buy bagasse from nearby sources. They mix bagasse with raw materials such as rice husks and wood chips. Then they pelletize the mixture into commercial pellets at scale. They sell these pellets to biomass power plants, industrial boiler operators, and other customers.

Organic Fertilizer Processing Plants
Bagasse can serve as a raw material for organic fertilizer. After undergoing fermentation and decomposition, it is processed into organic fertilizer pellets using a pelletizing machine, which are then used for the cultivation of fruits, vegetables, and cash crops.

Large Cattle and Sheep Ranches
During the dry season, when roughage (forage) is often in short supply, large-scale livestock farms can utilize bagasse—mixed with additives like molasses and urea—to produce roughage pellets. This helps reduce the costs associated with purchasing external feed.

Sugarcane Plantations
Plantations can process sugarcane waste—such as cane tops and leaves—on-site. By converting this waste into fuel pellets for internal use or commercial sale, they can repurpose agricultural residues while simultaneously lowering costs related to transportation and storage.

Bagasse Pellets Production Process
Bagasse pellets for biomass fuel are the most common demand. How can you use a bagasse pellet mill to make high-quality bagasse pellets that burn easily? The following content will reveal the answer. If you want to use a bagasse pellet machine to make pellets for other uses, you can also contact us for solutions.

01.
Crushing
After sugar extraction, bagasse fibers are long and bulky. They need to be crushed into fine powder first. It is recommended to crush them to about 3-5mm. This can break up the tangled fibers. It also makes later conveying and extrusion easier.
02.
Drying
Before raw materials enter the bagasse pellet mill, moisture content must be strictly controlled. The optimal moisture content for pelletizing should be between 12% and 18%. The drying section affects the forming effect of bagasse pellets. If moisture is too high, pellets are difficult to form. If it is too low, die wear will increase.
03.
Pelletizing
This is a key step in making high-quality bagasse pellets. The quality of the bagasse pellet machine used in this step determines the effect of the bagasse pellets. Under the mutual compression of the ring die and pressure rollers, the lignin in bagasse is softened. It acts as a natural binder. This helps pellets form.
04.
Cooling
If you want to reduce the breakage and cracking rate of bagasse pellets during storage and transportation, the cooling process will help a lot. A cooling machine can quickly lower freshly made, warm bagasse pellets to room temperature. This makes the pellet structure more stable.
05.
Screening
The screening step helps you keep the most uniform bagasse pellets. It removes broken pellets, fine powder, and other substandard pellets. We can provide efficient and convenient screening machines. They make the finished product consistent and uniform in appearance. This step plays a big role in optimizing the appearance of the finished product.
06.
Packing
This is the final step in the bagasse pellet production process. This step is used to weigh, bag, and seal bagasse pellets in batches. We can provide packaging tools with different levels of automation. This makes packaging more efficient, reduces labor costs, and reduces bagasse pellet loss.
Auxiliary Equipment for Producing Bagasse Pellets
A bagasse pellet mill is the key machine for producing high-quality bagasse pellets. But it is not the only machine needed. In addition to it, many other auxiliary equipment must work together. You can refer to your needs and decide whether you need to buy them. RICHI can also customize and provide the following.
