Cat Litter

Paper Pellet Production Process

01.
Pretreatment
Whether your raw materials are cardboard, newspapers, cartons, or something else, they all have a certain volume. Therefore, they must first be uniformly shredded. Cleaning equipment is used to remove possible impurities such as staples and plastic fragments. This protects subsequent equipment. It also makes the paper pellets purer.
02.
Drying
Before pelletizing, it is best to assess the moisture content of your paper. Paper has strong water absorption. If it gets wet or damp during storage, the moisture content will rise quickly. This affects the pelletizing result. The drying section is mainly designed for damp waste paper. It can control the moisture content of waste paper at 10%–15%.
03.
Pelletizing
This is the section where the paper pellet press plays an important role. After the processed paper scraps enter the pelletizing stage, they are compressed by the ring die and pressure roller in the pelletizing chamber. They are extruded from the ring die holes in the form of cylindrical strips. Then they are cut into pellets of uniform length by the cutter.
04.
Cooling
After pelletizing, a cooling step is needed. This is because in the paper pellet mill, the paper is strongly rubbed by the ring die and pressure roller. The finished pellets have a certain temperature. It is necessary to quickly reduce the temperature of these paper pellets to room temperature. This makes the pellet structure more stable. It helps the pellets set quickly and reduces breakage of the finished product.
05.
Screening
The purpose of this step is to ensure that paper pellets are uniform in size and improve their appearance. The equipment used in screening can remove undersized and oversized unqualified pellets, as well as broken material and powder. Only paper pellets with the set diameter and length enter the next stage.
06.
Packing
As the name suggests, this stage is for collecting and bagging finished products. This makes later storage and transportation convenient. We can provide packaging equipment with different levels of automation at this stage. Higher automation helps reduce labor costs. You can choose the packaging method based on your investment budget.
