sawdust pellet machine

Introduction
Sawdust Pellet Machine

Capacity: 0.2-4 T/H
Furniture factories, timber processing plants – places like that generate tons of waste wood and sawdust every single day. Storing it takes up a huge amount of space, and paying someone to remove it costs a fortune. A lot of people want to recycle it, but they just don’t have a simple, effective way to process it.
That’s exactly where RICHI’s sawdust pellet machine comes in. It uses solid pelletizing technology to turn worthless, loose sawdust into high-density biomass pellets that are easy to bag and ship. Whether you want the pellets for your own heating or to sell them, you’ll see real returns.
We’ve been in the pelletizing game for over thirty years. Our customers are all over the world, and our service network covers major markets both at home and abroad. Choosing RICHI is like hiring a partner who knows their stuff and won’t let you down. We’ll help turn every bit of waste wood into a steady stream of income.

Components of Sawdust Pellet Machine
Wood sawdust is light but has coarse, hard fibers. Standard pelletizing equipment on the market tends to break down when you feed it this kind of material. RICHI took a hard look at the challenges of processing sawdust and made targeted improvements. The result? A sawdust pellet maker that handles those problems smartly.

Advantages of Sawdust Pellet Machine
By choosing a RICHI sawdust pellet machine, you are assured of a worry-free, stable, and highly efficient operational experience from start to finish. The following core advantages directly address key production pain points, ensuring that our equipment is user-friendly, durable, and highly practical.
When you’re dealing with lightweight materials like sawdust – bulk density is only 0.05 to 0.15 t/m³ – you really need to avoid clogs. So we put in a dual-roller arch breaker and a forced feeder. They keep the material flowing steadily and evenly into the pelletizing chamber, so your production never stops.
Smooth Feeding
Our ring die is made of 42CrMo alloy steel and carburized. It’s much more wear-resistant than standard materials, so it handles high – fiber stuff like sawdust with ease. Pair it with our dedicated biomass rollers, and you can adjust the compression ratio anywhere from 1:10 to 1:18. That means you can dial in the right ratio for your specific raw material and the pellet hardness you want. Better forming results, and longer life for the ring die and rollers.
Wear-Resistant and Pressure-Resistant
This machine boasts an exceptionally wide power range, spanning from 22kW to 250kW, making it suitable for both small family workshops, medium-sized sawdust pellet processing plants, and large-scale pellet production lines. It also features a finely ground gearbox, amplifying the output torque and minimizing power loss during transmission—crucial for customers requiring continuous operation year-round and seeking stable, high-volume production efficiency.
Powerful Performance
Sawdust Pellet Machine’s Application
Sawdust pellet mills are mainly used to press wood processing leftovers into high-density fuel pellets. Different output levels and wood characteristics – like softwood vs. hardwood, moisture content, fiber length – call for different models. Here are RICHI’s mainstream models and typical use cases. Pellet diameter can be customized from 4 to 12 mm based on your needs.

FAQ
Below are answers to common questions from past customers. You might have the same ones. If not, feel free to reach out anytime.
Can wet sawdust be directly processed into pellets?
→
Not recommended. If the sawdust is too wet, it’ll stick to the die and clog the machine. The pellets that do come out won’t form well. Better to use a dryer first and get the moisture down to 13%–18%. That’s more efficient than sun – drying, and the results are much better. That’s why if you’re looking for sawdust pellet machine, RICHI’s models are designed to work seamlessly with a drying step for trouble-free operation.
If the wood chips contain impurities—such as soil, sand, or small nails—will this damage the machine?
→
There’s a risk. The machine can handle small amounts, but metal and stones will really wear down the ring die and rollers. So in that case, we recommend adding a screening machine to filter out the junk. It’ll extend the life of those core parts.
Do the pellets burn for a long time?
→
Yes. The pellets from our sawdust pellet machine have few impurities, produce little ash, and leave no hard residue. They’re cleaner than coal and burn longer than firewood. Great for fireplaces, power plants, and similar applications.
Can you customize the machine for my raw materials?
→
Absolutely! RICHI can customize the ring die compression ratio, discharge structure, and discharge height to fit your needs. Hardwood, softwood, wet material – we’ll build a solution just for you.Every sawdust pellet machine from RICHI can be tailored to your specific raw material requirements.
If we plan to expand production capacity in the future, can we integrate our existing equipment?
→
Yes. Our models use a modular design. Even older machines – as long as their age and condition are reasonable – can be integrated into the new line. No need to replace everything.
Is there a warranty period? What should be done regarding equipment repairs once the warranty period has expired?
→
RICHI gives you a 12 – month warranty. During that time, if something breaks, contact our after – sales team for remote guidance. For more complicated or unusual issues, we’ll arrange a professional to come to your site.
Even after the warranty expires, we still offer genuine spare parts. If your wear parts need replacing, just contact us to arrange shipment.
